The Embassy of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan in Bishkek is now issuing New Machine-Readable Afghan Passports to the ELIGIBLE Afghan Citizens Living in Kyrgyz Republic.

Afghans based in Kyrgyzstan, and wish to OBTAIN New Machine-Readable Afghan Passports should read the following instructions carefully.

In color WITH A WHITE BACKGROUND
Printed on matte or glossy photo-quality paper
Sized such that the head is between 1 inch and 1 3/8 inches (between 25 and 35 mm) from the bottom of the chin to the top of the head
Because the photo background is white, avoid white clothing and white scarves
Taken within the last 6 months to reflect your current appearance
Taken in full-face view directly facing the camera
With a neutral facial expression and both eyes open

PHOTO REQUIREMENTS

REQUIREMENTS

An application forms must be filled in carefully with COMPUTER in CAPITAL letters in English and Pashto or Dari. Applicants must pay special attention to name and surname’s spelling, date of birth (Day/Month/Year) and accurate current address in Kyrgyzstan.
Appointment: Applicants MUST book an appointment prior to coming to the Embassy. Applicants with no prior appointment will not be served. Appoint can be made by sending an appointment request to WhatsApp No. +996 226 76 786.
Visit In-person: An applicant MUST visit the embassy in-person on the date and time of their appointment. Application Forms sent to the embassy via post and/or Application Forms in the absence of the applicant will NOT be considered.
Tazkera (Afghan National Identity Card). Applicants MUST provide their original electronic Tazkera to the Embassy along with their completed Application Form. Applicants who do not have electronic Tazkera MUST provide their original paper Tazkera which has to be verified by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Afghanistan.
Applicants must provide their expired passport, should thy hold any.
4 photographs with the following specifications must be submitted to the embassy along with the completed Application Forms:
1. Photographs must be of (4×4.5 cm) size;
2. Photographs must be without borders;
3. Must be with white background (front taken with both ears visible);
4. Photographs must not be older than 6 months;
5. Must be clear and of digital origin with no shine;
6. Must not be taken with white cap;
7. Infant applicants must also provide photographs.
Children or underage Applicants: Parents of children or underage applicants (born in Kyrgyzstan who do not hold Afghan Tazkera) must submit the following documents along with the completed Application Forms to the embassy.
1. Original and a clear copy of their Marriage Certificate;
2. Original and a clear copy of their Electronic Tazkera (BOTH parents), OR their original verified paper Tazkeras, should they not hold Electronic Tazkeras;
3. Child’s Original Afghan Birth Certificate (Verified by the Afghan Ministry of Foreign Affairs) OR Child’s Original Kyrgyz Birth Certificate (Verified by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Kyrgyz Republic.
Original and a clear copy of their Refugee Status Card/Certificate, issued by Kyrgyz Government or United Nation Office in the Kyrgyz Republic.
Proof of Current Address. The applicant must provide a proof of their current residency address in Kyrgyzstan, which can be a copy of utility bill, driver’s license or bank statement.
Passport Fee:
1. The fee for an ordinary passport with a duration of 5 years is $120/- USD;
2. The fee for an ordinary passport with a duration of 10 years is $220/- USD;
3. The fee for a business passport with a duration of 5 years is $200/- USD;
4. The fee for a business passport with a duration of 10 years is $400/- USD;
5. Passport fee is the same for all ages.

Additional information

Applications are processed in order of their receipt date by the Consular Section. Applications that are incomplete and/or are missing necessary supporting documents will not be processed.

After the Embassy receives and accepted the completed application(s) with all the necessary documents and payments, passport (s) will normally be issued within two to three weeks.

The payment must be received by the Embassy together with your application form before any assessment takes place.

Applicants must bring their expire passport and provide original and a copy of their Tazkira to the Embassy along with the completed applications.

4 passport size (4×4.5 cm) recent photographs with a white background is required for the application.

Passport fee is payable to the Embassy, only in United States Dollar as per guidelines in the Fee Section.
